Blueberry Creek Community School

Located in south Castlegar is a Ministry of Children and Family Developement designated Community Hub. The School has always been the heart of the community and the gathering place for families.

Working together with local agencies and various partners, our neighborhood hub focuses on early childhood development, literacy,
child care and family strengthening programs. The utilization of public buildings to co-locate a variety of learning and social programs enables us to provide cost effective and convenient options for local families. We offer a Strong Start program, preschool, day care, out of school care, literacy and senior programs. We offer a large variety of summer camps including art, theatre, science, day camps and a summer reading program.

We believe that children do well when families do well and families do well when they live in supportive communities. Connecting kids to their community fosters a sense of belonging. We make a difference at the individual level, one person at a time.
